1982
The beginning is modest but characterized by foresight: company founder Robert Schönfeld sets up an engineering office in the basement of his family home – during his employment he has recognized the potential of hydrostatic components for machine tools.
1991
Years of intensive development were followed by a move to the Göppingen Voralb industrial estate and the founding of HYPROSTATIK Schönfeld GmbH; the young company employs four people and is inspired by its “original product” – the progressive flow regulator – when choosing its name.
2006
HYPROSTATIK has grown to 30 employees and moves into a new company building in Göppingen-Jebenhausen; the company promotes young talent and trains apprentices.
2013
The hydrostatic products from Göppingen are in such high demand internationally that HYPROSTATIK is the technology leader, has 35 employees and records annual sales growth in the double-digit percentage range. Despite its rapid growth, HYPROSTATIK is still a family business with flat hierarchies and close contact with its customers.
2019
The offices and the production hall will be extended by a total of 2,300 m². For more comfort, they are fully air-conditioned and newly equipped. Further growth is therefore assured.
2022
HYPROSTATIK Schönfeld GmbH, which specializes in hydrostatic systems, has been part of the Schunk Group since 28.07.2022 and has thus become part of an internationally active technology group. This step further intensifies the long-standing development partnership between HYPROSTATIK Schönfeld and OptoTech Optikmaschinen GmbH, which is also part of the Schunk Group. Sales of HYPROSTATIK products will continue to be handled directly by HYPROSTATIK Schönfeld.
